The requirements of BS5266 (2011) requires periodic emergency lighting testing and inspection to ensure that all luminaires function for designed lighting levels, duration and are positioned (including signage) correctly for use when a "power-loss situation" occurs. It is recommended that inspections are carried out annually by qualified personnel & that all defects are Recorded & Appropriate remedial action carried out.
